Crawford Heritage Couture Exhibition

9th, 10th & 11th December | The Music Room
SOLD OUT

This December, the Music Room at Powerscourt Town House will host something truly special: an intimate archival exhibition from Carmel Crawford of Crawford Heritage Couture, featuring a carefully curated selection of mid-century Dior pieces from the Crawford Archive.

This is more than an exhibition of beautiful vintage dresses. Carmel studies each garment as a historical object, looking beyond the silhouette to uncover the details often hidden from view: the construction, the finishing, the quiet craftsmanship that gave couture its enduring reputation. Together, the pieces trace how couture evolved from the post-war years through to the 1960s, a period that reshaped not only fashion but the way women dressed and lived.

Across the three days, Carmel will also give a series of short talks, sharing the stories and history behind individual pieces. It’s a rare chance to see couture up close, through the eyes of someone who knows it from the inside out.

We’re delighted to share that all places for the exhibition are now fully booked. Thank you to everyone who secured a spot. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Music Room this December.
