This Thursday 5th of December, Powerscourt Townhouse Centre will see the Simon Community House of Lights Campaign on the façade of the centre from 5pm -8pm. The event will showcase special guests and performers including the cast of Oliver and the Lucan Gospel Choir.

Festival Productions returns to the Simon House of Light at Powerscourt Townhouse Centre with another stunning performance for this charitable event in aid of the Simon Community – the ever popular Oliver! The team that brought The Wizard of Oz, Annie and The Sound of Music to the stage has a treat in store for all in attendance this Thursday with their fantastic production of the all-singing, all-dancing classic that is much loved by Irish audiences.

The incomparable Tony Finnegan returns as Fagin in a performance acclaimed by critics and loved by audiences. Irish musical theatre star Roisin Sullivan reprises the role of Nancy and the famous role of Oliver is yet to be announced. They will be supported by over 100 singers, dancers and street urchins in a performance that will be no doubt bursting with colour and energy.

The Centre will be filled to the brim with late-night shoppers enjoying the buzz of the festive activities and delicious complimentary mulled wine.

Whether you come to enjoy the live performances, to do your shopping or to eat in one of our eateries, the Powerscourt Centre is a Centre like no other for the whole family this Christmas.

Simon House of Light event will begin at 5.00pm on Thursday 5th December 2019 at Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.

Next Saturday October 12th, from 4pm to 5.30pm, Carol Feller will be in This is Knit to celebrate the launch of her new book Cosy Knits. Join Carol (@feller.carol,) and two special guests, Jimenez Joseph (@jimiknits) and Eimear Earley (@playingwithfibre), for a chilled-out afternoon of crafting, tasty nibbles and great company as a closer look is taken at her latest book.

Across the afternoon, Carol will be introducing the designs and creators behind her nine stunning pieces along with the inspiration and techniques used to create Cosy Knits. She will also be taking a ‘behind the scenes’ look at how Cosy Knits evolved from concept to print before finishing with an open Q&A session. On the day, there will lots of amazing spot prizes to be won, 10% off Cosy Knits and the Nua Yarn ranges, freshly baked pastries from The Pepper Pot Café and the chance to get up close and personal with some stunning new samples.
