SO Fine Art Editions in Powerscourt Centre will be hosting a dynamic group show of modern photographers, ‘Capture’. On display from May 09th to June 08th, the exhibition will celebrate the 10th anniversary of PhotoIreland Festival.
‘Capture’ brings together 30 works by 11 photographers: Enda Bowe, Patricio Cassioni, Gregory Dunn, Diarmait Grogan, Joby Hickey, Joe Lee, Fionn McCann, Aisling McCoy, Hugh O’Conor, David Stephenson and Dominic Turner.
Enda Bowe’s will be showcasing his work concerned with storytelling, the search for light and beauty in the ordinary. His collaboration with Bryony Miller, “This Thing I Want, I Know Not What”, will be included in the latest display.
This will be joined by the ‘Fantastic Portraits’ series deals by Patricio Cassioni, which focus on the human form and identity.
Aisling McCoy’s works are as part of her project ‘The Radiant City’ which examines the concept of Utopia via Le Corbusier’s Unite d’Habition in Marseille. Designed in 1952 it was considered a prototype of housing for the future. Sixty years later, McCoy captured these images which highlight the role of both architecture and photography in creating the ideal.
The exhibition will also showcase works from David Stephenson’s “False Friends (Vicissitudes)”.
Be sure to visit SO Fine Art Editions from May 09th to June 08th to see ‘Capture’ collection by these contemporary artists.
