Summer Cocktails at Powerscourt Centre
Summer has arrived and Powerscourt Centre is bursting with gorgeous summer colours and delicious summer cocktails. We have chosen some of our favourites that we don’t want you to miss!
An old reliable and a haven for people watching, Pygmalion or PYG to the cool kids on the block, is known for their tasty 2-4-1 “Pygtails” offer which runs weekly from Sunday to Thursday. We’re talking Minty Mojitos, Espresso Martinis, Whiskey Sours and Tangle Twisters.
All buy one get one free – we don’t have to tell you twice!
We’re huge fans of ‘The Pyglet’ enriched with flavours of gin, elderflower, mint, and apple is sure to tickle your fancy. Another of our favs is ‘My Fair Lady’, a rum based cocktail with Pinot Grigio, Passion fruit and peach – YUM!
If you’re looking for bit of banter and a #SundayFunday, PYG is one to visit. On top of 2-4-1 “Pygtails’’ there’s also an additional 40% off all other drinks on a Sunday plus great DJ’s, the atmosphere here is electric. Pygmalion’s terrace on Coppinger Row is heated enough to sit outside and preferred by many and famed for its laid-back vibe and shabby chic décor making it the perfect place for bonding with friends and enjoying the brighter Summer evenings.
Farrier & Draper
Another go-to hotspot, Farrier & Draper is nestled right on the front-line of Dublin’s Creative Quarter. With their slick interior, it’s the perfect spot for the drinker who likes a little bit of history. Their impressive glass doors originally served as the Townhouse’s horse and carriage entrance and the upstairs bar was Lady Powerscourt’s very own bedroom. When it comes to cocktails, we love their fresh take on the old classics.
We love Farrier & Drapers take on the Margarita! Just one of their combinations includes tequila, curacao, lime juice, agave syrup and some bitter orange marmalade. It is full to the brim with brilliant citrus flavours to refresh you after a long day of shopping. ‘Shake it baby’ pairs Ketel One Vodka, pomegranate syrup, lime, cranberry and pineapple juice topped off with a dash of soda to make this fruity concoction. Another of our top picks is ‘Whiskey for Business’ with musings bourbon, Bénédictine, cherry syrup, lime juice and mint. How tasty does that sound? Enjoy your cocktails in the 1920’s decor, listening to some uplifting tunes from their in-house DJ.
The Townhouse Café
