Powerscourt Theatre is Dublin’s biggest little theatre, an intimate venue in the heart of the city. The theatre is located on the top floor of the Townhouse just minutes from Grafton Street.

Just minutes from Grafton Street, Dublin 2, the Powerscourt Theatre is available to rent for theatre performances, workshops, music gigs, and rehearsals. The flexible space is perfect for any style of Event or Conference, Fashion Show, Photoshoot, Workshop or Seminar.

The painted brick walls, large Georgian windows complete with blackout shutters and timber floors create the ideal unique surroundings for any Event. The venue has a built-in stage, 2 digital projectors, lighting rig, sound system and comfortable seating, which can be reconfigured to suit different client’s requirements.

Powerscourt Townhouse is directly behind Bewley’s Cafe. Walk all the way down Johnson’s Court (the lane to the right of Bewley’s), the rear door to Powerscourt is directly in front of you. Take the stairs or lift to the theatre on the top floor.

A Celebration of the work of Edgar Allan Poe

The magnificent, macabre and ever-popular POE SHOW returns to Bewley’s Cafe Theatre for the Halloween Season! Poe Show is a theatrical celebration of the work of Edgar Allan Poe, the tormented genius of Gothic literature. The show played previously to packed houses and rapturous reviews. It returns for the Halloween Season in response to the public’s appetite for the mysterious and the macabre.  
It features dramatized versions of two of Poe’s best-known stories: The Tell-Tale Heart – a terrifying exploration of murder and guilt, and The Cask of Amontillado – a pitch-black comedy of revenge. It also includes a heartwarming new adaptation of The Premature Burial, along with musical settings of two of his greatest poems.

The POE Show will run from 16th October – 4th November 2017
