Powerscourt Centre Tour for National Heritage Week

The year is 1774 and Richard Wingfield 3rd Viscount Powerscourt and his wife Lady Amelia Wingfield have just moved into their beautiful townhouse at number 59 South William Street, Dublin.

On Wed 22nd, at 11am to celebrate @nationalheritageweek there will be a guided tour through the magnificent rooms of the Powerscourt Centre.

This grand tour will transport you back to the eighteenth century with this wonderful tour. Starting in the Kitchens and ending in the Ballroom you will catch a glimpse of what life was like in Georgian Dublin.

Powerscourt Centre is a speciality shopping centre set in an elegant Georgian house centrally located just off Grafton Street. Formally, 59 South William Street was home to Richard Wingfield 3rd Viscount Powerscourt (1730-1788) and his wife Lady Amelia, who bought the Townhouse to entertain guests during Parliament season.

Meeting place for the tour is on the steps at the South William Street entrance to Powerscourt Centre. After the tour is finished, relax with a meal from one of our restaurants while listening to the resident pianist play at 12pm.
