International Childrens’ Charity, Plan Ireland, launched the “Her Story” photo exhibition on 7th October at 6:30pm in the Courtyard Gallery of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin City Centre.
Launched by MTV star Laura Whitmore and Cherie Blair, Her Story features photographs of 36 girls ranging in ages from a few months old to 18, from different communities in both Ireland and Sierra Leone. The exhibition shows that while there may differences between girls in Ireland and Sierra Leone, they still have much in common.
The Powerscourt Townhouse Centre is delighted to have hosted the highlight event of Dublin Fashion Festival, the Creative Quarter Fashion Show, on Friday, 6th of September.
Presented by style icon Laura Whitmore, the Powerscourt Centre came alive with the very best of Irish design from the Clarendon Street to South Great George’s Street areas.

The Design Centre in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre are thrilled to announce some very exciting news!! For the first time ever The Design Centre is delighted to open the doors of its FASHION SCHOOL. They have been developing and mentoring fashion designers for over 30 years and are excited to be sharing invaluable skills to budding Irish fashion stars.
Students can choose from courses such as- – Fashion merchandising – Mood boards – Fashion design – Millinery – illustration – Fashion design. So if you are looking to get creative in 2013 don’t delay. For more information on how to apply please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Reviews Bow at the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre!
Tucked away in a corner on the ground floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, Bow is one of my favourite places. It’s full of personality, and I always get distracted by the beautiful clothes, vintage finds and unusual and desirable pieces of jewellery.
Dublin Simon Community Pop Up Shop Powerscourt

Dublin Simon Community’s first Pop up Shop will take to the stage in the Powerscourt Centre this Friday. The event will feature selected items from the two Dublin Simon shops, on Camden Street and Thomas Street. Many exclusive items will be available, including pieces from The Design Centre, Karen Millen, Cos and Biba, Recently featured on TV3’s Xpose.

The huge crowd was treated to current trends from the Creative Quarter – The Centre being the focal point.

For one night only, on Friday September 21st, museums, galleries, churches, historic houses, artist’s studios, cultural centres and more, will open their doors late for a free night of entertainment, discovery and adventure. 2012 marks the seventh year of Culture Night and this year’s programme is the most diverse yet, since the renowned late night of free cultural events was created in 2006.
The streets of South William street were filled with excited spectators to greet the much anticipated DFF fashion show on the steps of the Powerscourt Centre last Friday. The huge crowds were treated to current trends from the creative quarter – The Powerscourt Townhouse Centre being the focal point. Not only were guests to the fashion show stunned by the historic show, there was also a surprise performance from Jig who received an exhilarating response from onlookers. To add to this great night sumptuous food was provided by Pyg cafe and delicious DFF Themed cocktails were available for the night in The Lost Society. The Stunning Amanda Byran hosted the Fashion extravaganza with looks from The Design Centre, Bow, Ciara Bridal, Couture Boutique, Genius, French Connection, Dawn Fitzgerald, Covet and the Loft Market among with many others.
Friday, April 20th2012: The Paul Stafford Foundation Lunch took place at La Stampa Hotel. The Dining Room was packed to capacity for this now annual lunch. The Paul Stafford Foundation was established in 2007 to raise awareness and address the serious issue of suicide in Ireland. This year’s lunch was in aid of Walk in my shoes, a campaign led by U2’s Adam Clayton which helps raise the much needed funds for young people with mental health issues or those suffering with depression.
